Miss Idaho's Outstanding Teen is a scholarship pageant that is part of the Miss America Organization.
The Miss Idaho Outstanding Teen program promotes scholastic achievement, creative accomplishment, healthy living and community involvement, and is the only teen program included in the Miss America System.
Miss Idaho Outstanding Teen is a scholarship program for girls 13-17(jr year of high school).
Contestants compete on stage in the following
90 seconds (35%),
8 count physical fitness,no swimsuits(10%)!,
Evening gown/stage question(20%),
and have a private interview(25%) focusing on personal platform and community service.
A separate panel of judges score scholastic 10%.
State competition dates are October 2013 and the winner will compete in Orlando Florida in August 2014!
Miss America's Outstanding Teen is a scholarship based program. Through the efforts of thousands of volunteers across the country, the organization offers to accomplished teens the opportunity to win college scholarship funds.
The competition is open to young ladies 13-17 years of age who must meet the following criteria:
- Be a United States citizen.
- Meet residency requirements for competing in a certain town or state.
- Meet character criteria as set forth by the Miss America's Outstanding Teen Organization
- Be in reasonably good health to meet the job requirements.
- Be able to meet the time commitment and responsibilities as set forth by the local program in which you compete.
- Must not be eligible to compete in the Miss America Competition.
