The Miss Idaho’s Outstanding
Preteen pageant promotes creative accomplishment, healthy living and
community involvement, for Idaho’s preteen’s and will provide as an
introduction to the opportunities available for girls in the Miss Idaho
Organization.
To compete you must
Must be a U.S. citizen
Be a young lady between the ages of 9 and 12 as of
October 1, 2013
Legal resident of Idaho at least 6 months prior to
state pageant
Meet character criteria as set forth by the Miss
Idaho’s Outstanding Preteen Organization
The winner of Miss Idaho’s Outstanding Preteen does
not compete at the National level.

35% Private
Interview
The private
interview is 5 minutes long. There are typically 3-5 judges on a panel.
Contestants are questioned on information presented on their resume, their
educational and career goals, pop culture, and their interests, hobbies and
extracurricular activities. Contestants are judged on communication skills, the
ability to convey her opinion, personality and confidence.
Attire is cute
and trendy, if you were giving a speech at school.
35% Talent
Talent will be
a maximum of 90 seconds. Talent can be shorter but nothing longer than 90
seconds will be accepted. Judges will be informed if a contestant goes over.
Contestants will be judged on the entertainment value and technical skill of
the talent being presented.
Attire should
be age appropriate and fit the talent being presented.
10% Fitness
Each contestant
performs a brief routine demonstrating physical abilities. Contestants are
judged on if they maintain a healthy lifestyle, energy and confidence on stage.
Attire is black
bottoms of choice, bright colored t-shirt, white tennis shoes.
20%
Eveningwear/ On stage question
Each contestant
will answer 2 questions onstage and walk a short pattern on stage. The
contestants will be judged on both the answers given and stage presence.
Attire must be age appropriate and should
compliment the contestant’s individuality. It is permissible to wear cocktail
or long gowns.

All contestants
are invited to attend a workshop held in Boise in August to learn about
walking, interview, pageant prep, ect.
Pageant will
take place at the Nampa Civic Center October 5, 2013.
