Can you believe it we are only a little over 3 months until we crown our 2015 Miss Idaho's Outstanding Teen! The last 3 local competitions are set to take place in Weiser, Twin Falls and Idaho Falls! These 3 programs are closed and so opportunities to compete in them are limited to certain area's.
But don't worry! The Miss Idaho's Outstanding Teen Pageant is an open state pageant so if you are between the ages of 13 and going to be a junior in high school this year you can still sign up can compete!
Worried you won't do very well because you have never competed in a pageant before?
It doesn't matter if you started competing in pageants before you could walk or if you have never even dreamed about competing you will learn so much about your self by competing, make lots of friends, and win scholarship money for college! It is a win, win, win!
Worried that only girls with $1,000,000 dresses compete?
Again not true!
This past year we had 2 contestants compete in their MOM'S competition gowns from the 80's(it's called vintage!) and both were in the top 5!
Worried that you are already behind everyone else?
The last 3 national winners won their state crown WEEKS before Miss America's Outstanding Teen! We are still looking at MONTHS!!
Worried that people will think you are crazy for doing a pageant?
Tell that to Oprah Winfrey, Halle Berry, Diane Sawyer, Vanessa Williams, Katy Perry, Brittany Spears, Demi Lavato, Eva Longoria, Nancy O'Dell, Kellie Pickler and THOUSANDS of people who have competed in pageants!
BUT they didn't compete in the Outstanding Teen pageant?
This is only the 10th year the Miss America's Outstanding Teen pageant has even been around so we don't even know how many of the amazing young women of this generation will be the stars of tomorrow but I can tell you they have been seen on American Idol, So You Think You Can Dance, America's Got Talent, Broadway, Modeled for Top Prom/Pageant Designers like Sherri Hill, Tony Bowls, Jovani and have won MILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS!!
Plus 3 of the last 4 Miss America's started in the Outstanding Teen program and over 35 former state teen titleholders have gone on to win their state title and who knows how many competed in teen but didn't win the state program here in Idaho we have had 2 Miss Idaho's that started in the teen program!
Still haven't convinced you to give it a try?
Well spaces are limited so don't miss out! You have to play to win!

Competing at the Miss Idaho’s Outstanding Teen pageant is a memory I will cherish for the rest of my life! From the time I started preparing for the pageant to the time it was completed, I grew so much and in SO many ways. The skill that I think has helped me the most is learning how to interview well and speak confidently and fluidly with people. It has helped me in college and in the work force. I could not be where I am now without that important skill I learned through the MIOT program. I also was able to make so many friends. I still keep in touch with so many of them today and love each of them dearly. I would definitely encourage every girl to compete!! Being in a pageant really isn’t all about winning a crown. It is about becoming a better person and developing life skills. I LOVE this program!
