The Miss Idaho Organization is excited to announce that in conjunction with its Miss Idaho's Outstanding Teen Pageant it will start a Miss Idaho's Outstanding Preteen Pageant for girls ages 9-12. Girls will compete in Private interview, Talent, Fitness and Evening Gown.
"The Outstanding Teen program was introduced in Idaho in 2005 and since then over 90% of the girls who have competed have gone on to higher education after high school graduation. The girls that choose to compete are outstanding teens and leaders in their community. It is our hope that by introducing a program for preteens, girls will be able to develop confidence and skills that will help them as they move into the teens years," said Miss Idaho's Outstanding Teen Executive Director Jaylee Patterson.
The Miss Idaho Organization is part of the Miss America Organization which is the largest provider for college scholarships for women in the world. Each year more than $45 million in scholarships are made available to young women ages 18-24. Since its inception in 2005 the Miss America's Outstanding Teen pageant has made more than $4 million available to teens ages 13-17.
